Temperature effect on carbothermal reduction and nitridation synthesis of silicon nitride

Wan Xiaohan,Zhang Guangqing,Oleg Ostrovski and Hal Aral

Strategic Study of CAE 2015, Volume 17, Issue 1,   Pages 62-66

Abstract:

Carbothermal reduction and nitridation synthesis of silicon nitride was conducted at 1 300~1 600 ℃The reduction rate increased with increasing temperature, but slowed down when temperature was higherDue to the small difference of the equilibrium CO partial pressure between Si3N4 and SiC formation, theboundary temperature was not obvious. The mechanism of carbothermal reduction/nitridation synthesis of silicon nitride needs further investigation

Electrochemical CO reduction to C products over CuZn intermetallic catalysts synthesized by electrodeposition

Frontiers in Energy doi: 10.1007/s11708-023-0898-0

Abstract: Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction (ECR) offers an attractive approach to realizing carbon neutralityand producing valuable chemicals and fuels using CO2 as the feedstock.Herein, a one-step co-electrodeposition method was used to introduce Zn, a metal with weak *CO bindingMoreover, the *CO formed on Zn sites can move to Cu sites due to its weak binding with *CO, and thusenhance the C–C coupling on the Cu surface to form C2+ products.
